Finca El Retiro is a creation of Tittarelli, one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Argentina, founded in 1915 by Enrique Tittarelli, who started this business when he arrived from Italy. His son Pacífico expanded the activities of the company and became a pioneer in the viticulture of Argentina. In 1998, the Italian consultant Alberto Antonini started working with the winemaker Graciela Reta, to produce the wines Finca El Retiro, an export line elaborated with the highest oenological standards.

El Retiro is an old winery equipped with small epoxy-coated concrete tanks and modern cooling systems which, together with the traditional hydraulic presses, make it possible to develop exceptional wines. Grapes from the best vineyards and a careful process make this possible. These wines have not been filtered in order to preserve their highly fruity characteristics as much as possible. A good exposure to the sun is an essential element to produce ripe and balanced grapes, which determine the flavours, aromas and colour of the wines. The vineyards are irrigated by thaw water from the mountains. As time goes by the brand is increasing its popularity and it is currently recognized as one of the most important Argentine wines in the world markets. Finca El Retiro has a wide variety of wines divided into three lines: Finca El Retiro, Finca El Retiro Special Reserve and Finca El Retiro Late harvest.
